Introduction

A rally on “One Health” was organized on 03-11-2025 at Narayana medical college to promote awareness about the interconnectedness of human, animal, and environmental health. The event aimed to highlight the importance of a collaborative, multisectoral, and transdisciplinary approach to achieving optimal health outcomes for people, animals, and the planet.

Objectives

  • To raise awareness about the One Health concept, which emphasizes that the health of humans, animals, and ecosystems are interdependent.
  • To encourage collaboration among healthcare, veterinary, and environmental sectors.
  • To promote preventive measures against zoonotic diseases and environmental degradation.

Description of the Event

The rally commenced at 9;30AM from Medical college and proceeded through OPD block, concluding at the Main entrance of Medical college & hospital. Participants carried banners, placards, and posters with slogans such as “One Earth, One Health,” “Healthy Animals, Healthy People,” and “Protect Nature, Protect Health.”

The event was flagged off by Dr.P.Sreenivasulu Reddy, Dean, who addressed the participants about the global importance of the One Health approach in preventing pandemics, antimicrobial resistance, and environmental challenges.

Throughout the rally, students holding placards and banners with slogans promoting One health & spread key messages about hygiene, vaccination, animal welfare, and environmental conservation.

Rally was conducted by the Department of Community Medicine, under the guidance of Dr.C.Jyothi Professor & HOD, Dr.C.Kumar, Professor .

Dr. P. Sreenivasulu Reddy, Dean flagged off the rally, Dr.Viswakumar ,Vice principal took part in the rally.

Dr.Saisravan Associate professor, Dr. Ali & Dr. Sarvani, Assistant professors, Dr.Karthik, UHTC medical officer, Dr.Sai teja, Dr.Maneesh, Dr.Spandana ,tutors, &Dr.Brahmani, Dr. Bhavana Post graduates took part in the rally.
