National Exit Test is the final year MBBS exam conducted centrally for MBBS students in medical colleges in India & abroad. The students will have to pass NEXT after completing final year MBBS in India or abroad. Thus, NEXT replaces NEET-PG & FMGE (MCI Screening Test). PG seats (MD/ MS/ Diploma/ DNB) will be allocated based on ranking in NEXT.
Narayana Medical College is introducing innovative & quick learning methodologies to fully equip the MBBS students to confidently and strategically prepare for the most important concepts from National Exit Test (NEXT) point of view while ensuring depth & full coverage of the syllabus.
Curriculum Integrated NExT Examination Coaching will be able to transform the life of MBBS student easier, more interesting & more fruitful with the use of latest technology in addition to the regular classroom coaching.
NEXT will comprise of two parts: Theory (NEXT-1) and practical (NEXT-2). Theory questions will be multiple choice questions (MCQs). NEXT-1 will be conducted immediately after the final MBBS part II University Examinations, before the beginning of internship. After passing NEXT-1 students will continue with the internship. Those who manage to pass theory (i.e. NEXT-1) will have to clear NEXT-2, the practical test, separately at the end of internship. The score obtained in NEXT-1 will help you to gain a PG seat after internship.
NEXT-2 will be a pass/ fail type of exam. Marks in NEXT-2 will not contribute to PG seats allocation. Thus NEXT-1 will be a qualifying as well as competitive exam. There will be unlimited attempts in NEXT exam. Score of NEXT-1 exam will be valid for 3 years for the purpose of PG Entrance ranking.
The content of the course is validated and updated incorporating the day-to-day advances and recommendations. Content is based on Problem based/ Case based learning encouraging critical thinking and evidence based logical reasoning and interpretation

The course content and instruction are directed towards successful solving of International (USMLE) and NEET/ NExT examinations. The course is designed in tune with the international standards. The case scenarios incorporated in the course are however based on the prevent health problems in India.
