NATIONAL CPR DAY PROGRAM

A sudden Cardiac Arrest is not an uncommon disaster. Every minute 112 people are succumbs to cardiac arrest. Timely and structured cardiopulmonary resuscitation can revive many lives. Among Indians, <2% population are aware of CPR.

To sensitize, all the medical fraternity starting from undergraduate students of both medical and nursing students, it was decided to conduct the National CPR Day with as theme of “Each One Can Save Life” on 21st July 2022.

The program was organized by department of Paediatrics in collaboration with Paediatric Association of Nellore under President Dr. M.V. Suresh Babu. The presentation about the importance of CPR, steps to perform was delivered by speaker Dr. P. Pratima, Associate Professor, Dept. of Paediatrics, Narayana Medical College Nellore. The live demonstration of the same was performed on Mannequin.

The program was conducted in Anatomy Demo Hall-I attended nearly by 250 medical and nursing students apart from faculty of various departments.

The program was inaugurated by Dr. Jyothi, Vice Principal and Dr.R.Harish babu, Additional Medical Superintendent, Narayana Medical College & Hospital.
