REPORT ON THE PRELIMINARY ROUND OF QUIZ ON “ONE HEALTH”

The preliminary round of the Quiz on One Health was successfully conducted on 19 November 2025 at Taylor’s Gallery, Narayana Medical College, Nellore. The event aimed to enhance awareness among medical students about the interconnectedness of human, animal, and environmental health, and to promote multidisciplinary understanding of the One Health approach.

The program commenced at 2:00 PM. Dr.Sarvani, Assistant professor welcomed the participants and gave a brief introduction to the theme and objectives of the quiz. Dr. C. Jyothi, professor & HOD addressed about the emerging infectious diseases, antimicrobial resistance, and global health challenges

A total of 23 teams participated in the preliminary round. The quiz consisted of multiple-choice questions covering public health, zoonotic diseases, environmental health, epidemiology, and current global health issues. The participants actively engaged in the session, demonstrating keen interest and competitive spirit.

The evaluation was carried out immediately after the quiz. Based on the scores, top 4 teams were shortlisted for the final round. The coordinators appreciated the enthusiastic participation of students and encouraged them to continue expanding their knowledge in the field of One Health.

The event concluded at 4:00 PM with a vote of thanks delivered by Dr.Sarvani. Overall, the preliminary round was well organized and received positive feedback from both students and faculty.
