Department of ENT, Narayana Medical College, Nellore is pleased to inform you all that we have organized Academic National Conference ENTIRE PG Academia 2 2020 on 4th, 5th January 2020 in Narayana Medical College, Nellore under Aegis of AOI AP, Dr NTR University of Health Sciences for Postgraduate students, Junior and Senior Faculty in ENT with guidance from Patrons, Narayana Medical College Mr Puneeth Kothapa, Dr Sindhura, Managing Director under the leadership of Dean, Narayana Medical Institutions Dr S. P. Rao, Director, Narayana Medical College, Dr S. Vijaya Kumar, Academic Coordinator, Dr S Satish Kumar, CEO, Dr Ramakrishna Rao Medical Superintendent and Dr Biju Ravindran, Additional Medical Superintendent.

The Conference is a series of ENTIRE PG Academia Programme and is second in the series and is organized under the leadership of Dr N. Janardhan, Prof. & HOD – ENT as Organising Chairman, and Dr V.Krishna Chaitanya, Professor – ENT as Organizing Secretary.
Eminent Resource Persons from South India included Dr PSN Murthy, Professor and Principal, Dr PSIMS &RF, Gannavaram, Dr Balasubramaniyam Thiagarajan famous as DR T Balu in ENT Fraternity who is an excellent Academician and Retired Registrar of Tamilnadu Dr MGR University of Health Sciences and now working as Professor in Stanley Medical College, Chennai, Dr Balakrishnan, Professor, Kasturba Medical College, Manipal, Dr AVS Hanumantha Rao, Professor & HOD, Kamineni Medical College, Hyderabad, Telangana, Dr Shobhan Babu, Professor & HOD, Gandhi Medical College, Secunderabad, Dr Y Subbarayudu, Secretary AOI AP, Andhra Pradesh Government Incharge of Cochlear Implant Programme and Professor, NRI Medical College, Vijayawada, Dr C Madhusudana Rao, Senior Consultant, Madhumani Nursing Home, Nandyal, Vijayawada and Dr SB Amarnath, Incharge HOD & Associate Professor – SVIMS Padmavathi Medical College, Tirupathi.

Sessions of Conference Included Academic Sessions, Case Discussions, Lectures, OSCE Examination and these discussions included from complete Basics till Advances in ENT academics which were useful for youngsters. The academic schedule included examination cases for Postgraduate student exam which included Attic Perforation of the Ear, Malignancy Larynx and Hypo pharynx, Carcinoma Unknown Primary, Thyroid and Nasal Polyposis. Apart from these fruitful lectures were given by Faculty over Anatomy of Temporal bone, Radiology Temporal Bone, PNS, Facial Nerve, Instrumentation in Basic Surgical Procedures and Cochlear Implants.

The highlights include OSCE examination which is unique of its kind to Post graduates simulating the OSCE pattern of DNB aspiring students. This being naïve to the students which we tried to be on par with the changing educational patterns about curriculum and examination as per MCI norms and guidelines.

Sessions started on Day 1 with Inaugural Function Presided by the Honorable Dean, Narayana Medical College Dr SP Rao. A Total of 245 people registered for the conference and attended by 217 delegates and faculty. Adding to our happiness the APMC observer Dr I Anil Kumar Reddy who attended was happy over the success of the programme. Dr NTR University of Health Sciences have sanctioned financial assistance to the Conference considering the importance of the programme.

The Conference was attended by students from Medical Colleges in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka, and Tamilnadu and Pondicherry. Gala dinner was arranged to all Faculty and Delegates on Day 1. At the conclusion feedback was obtained from the delegates who opined the workshop GRAND SUCCESS. The Organizers sincerely thank the Management, Narayana Medical College, Resource Faculty and the Delegates who made this programme grand success.
