On the occasion of World AIDS Day today, 1 December 2025, the Department of Dermatology, Venereology, and Leprosy at Narayana Medical College, Nellore, conducted an AIDS awareness program in the DVL OPD.

Dr. Vijaya Mohan Rao, Professor and HOD, Dr. R. Jayapreeti, Assistant Professor, and Dr. Shayeeza, Postgraduate, addressed patients, attendants, interns, and postgraduate students. They discussed HIV/AIDS, its modes of transmission, preventive measures, the importance of early diagnosis, and available treatment options.

The session also highlighted the need to eliminate stigma and encourage a compassionate, inclusive approach towards individuals living with HIV/AIDS, reinforcing the message of awareness, acceptance, and support.
