On 9 March, enumeration of the children living in the campus is done.  On 10 March, a PPI booth was opened at the entrance of the Narayana Medical College Hospital.  The following personnel worked in the booth.  About 250 children below 5 years of age were polio vaccine. These children came to hospital accompanying their adults as visitors or they came for treatment of minor illnesses or they are born here and are not yet discharged.   On 11 and 12 March house-to-house survey was done in the campus and the children who did not come to the booth on 10th were identified and given polio vaccine at their homes.
A total of 300 children were immunized with polio vaccine.   The programme went off smoothly, and was a grand success.
