Department of ENT, Narayana Medical College, Nellore is pleased to inform you all that we have organized International Workshop on ENTIRE Academics in ENT for Postgraduate students in ENT with guidance from Patrons, Narayana Medical College Mr Puneeth Kothapa, Dr Sindhura, Managing Director under the leadership of Dean, Narayana Medical Institutions Dr S. P. Rao, Director, Narayana Medical College, Dr G.Subramanyam, Coordinator Academics, Dr S. Vijaya Kumar, CEO, Narayana Specialty Hospitals, Dr S Satish Kumar.  The workshop was well organized for two days i.e. on 26th January, 27th January 2019 under Dr N. Janardhan, Prof. & HOD – ENT, Dr V.Krishna Chaitanya, Professor – ENT as Organizing Chairman and Organizing Secretary.
Resource Persons from India and Abroad were present who shared their immense academic experiences with the students during the workshop. International personality Dr Eleftherios S Papathanassiou, Clinical Neurophysiologist, Fellow of the European Academy of Neurology from The Cyprus Institute of Neurology & Genetics, CYPRUS attended the workshop to share his clinical experiences on VEMP who gave excellent lectures on Basics in BAEP, VEMP and also gave live demonstration on VEMP to the delegates.

Parashuram, Associate Professor – ENT, Kakatiya Medical College, Warangal, Dr Subbarayudu, Professor  – ENT & Andhra Pradesh Government Incharge of Cochlear Implant Programme, NRI Medical College, Vijayawada and Dr SB Amarnath, Associate Professor – SVIMS, Tirupathi

The workshop was well organized for two days with fruitful discussions on complete Basics and Advances in ENT academics were discussed in detail. The workshop has AP Medical Council approval with 4(Four) credit hours being allotted for the workshop.
The academic schedule included Case Discussions by the eminent resource persons who attended with discussions on examination cases for Postgraduate student exam which included Attic Perforation of the Ear, Malignancy Larynx and Hypo pharynx, Carcinoma Unknown Primary, Thyroid and Nasal Polyposis. Apart from these fruitful lectures were given by Faculty over Anatomy of Temporal bone, Radiology Temporal Bone, PNS, Facial Nerve, Instrumentation in Basic Surgical Procedures and Cochlear Implants.
The highlights also include OSCE examination which is unique of its kind to Post graduates simulating the OSCE pattern of DNB aspiring students. This being naïve to the students which we tried to be on par with the changing educational patterns about curriculum and examination as per MCI norms and guidelines.
The International Workshop was attended by students from Medical Colleges in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka, and Tamilnadu along with few students from Jamshedpur, New Delhi and Pondicherry. The workshop also included Gala dinner on Day 1 to the resource persons and the delegates. At the conclusion of the workshop feedback was obtained from the delegates who opined the workshop GRAND SUCCESS. Adding to our happiness the APMC observer Dr Ashok who attended our workshop was happy over the success of the programme and added that he would intimate about the uniqueness about this programme in APMC minutes and discuss with the APMC and university authorities about the programme.
