PRINCIPAL – Dr. P. Sreenivasulu Reddy

He is a renowned clinical Microbiologist and best UG and PG medical teacher, examiner and PhD guide from South India. He served as a member, Board of studies Dr.YSR UHS, Vijayawada and as external member for Board of Studies, SDUHER, KOLAR, KA. Completed his under graduation in the year 1993 from Kurnool Medical College, A.P. Awarded MD degree by Dr.NTR University of Health Sciences, Vijayawada in the year 1998. He joined as assistant Professor in department of Microbiology in the year 1998 and now heading the institute as Principal. He is a good academician and designed a very good curriculum for poor performers in the academics. He underwent NTTC training in Medical Education from JIPMER in the year 2007 subsequently trained in Advanced Course in Medical Education from St.Jhon’s Medical College Bangalore. His tremendous in the research field made him to publish 32 articles in various national and international Journals. He prepared a good, practically feasible manual for institutional hospital infection control and prevention practices and trained in HIC from JIPMER, Puducherry. Chairperson for institutional NAAC accreditation. His areas of interest are Emerging Antimicrobial resistance and Hospital infection control. He is an active member in Medical education trainings. He has served as judge for many scientific sessions in various conferences and Guest Speaker. He is the author for two text books one is Hospital Practice and Patient Care and the second one is Quick review of Medical Microbiology. He is guest speaker in conferences and CMEs to other Medical Colleges in the state and also at institute level. He received a prestigious ASIA PACIFIC EDUCATION EXCELLENCE AWARD for his outstanding achievements and remarkable role in the field of education.

The members of institutional slow leaner and mentoring committee has been assembled in the presence of chairperson and discussed the following.

  1. MBBS I and II year students has to divided into small groups comprising of 15-20 for each group.
  2. Each gropu of students has to be taken care by a senior faculty from all the departments of I and II MBBS.
  3. III MBBS students will be divided into small groups with the list of faculty obtained from the Medical superintendent.
  4. Each student group will be informed to meet the their mentor for academic and any another personal problems related to their studies to discuss frequently.
  5. Based on their discussion with the mentor the issues related to slow learning will be identified and to be acted accordingly

MEDICAL SUPERINTENDENT – Dr. Basireddy Hariprasad Reddy

Dr. Basireddy Hariprasad Reddy, Professor in Anaesthesiology is passionate for Obstetric and Pediatric Anaesthesia. He did MBBS in Kurnool Medical College, Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh and M.D. Anaesthesiology in Kasturba Medical College, Mangalore, Karnataka, a constituent college under Manipal Academy of Higher Education, a deemed University.

He worked as an Assistant Professor in KMC, Mangalore and SVSMC, Mahabubnagar, Associate Professor in SVSMC, Mahabubnagar and Navodaya Medical College, Raichur, Professor & HOD in SVSMC, Mahabubnagar. He has managerial experience as Founder President of INDIAN SOCIETY OF ANAESTHESIOLOGISTS, Mahabubnagar and IMA Secretary, Palamoor Branch, AP State from October 2006 to September 2009.

He received K.O.P.S. Award for best paper in Clinical Pharmacology for the title “Effect of Alkalinised Lidocaine with Epinephrine on the onset time, intensity and duration of Lumbar Epidural Block in Elective Gynecological Surgeries – A Double Blind Randomized controlled study” in ISA National conference held in December 2000 at Nagpur.

He published papers in Journal of Evidence based medicine and Healthcare. He has delivered Guest lectures in various national and international conferences like A.O.A at KMC, Mangalore in 2013. He was Chief Course Coordinator and Faculty for 2nd WFSA SAFE OBSTETRIC ANAESTHESIA COURSE Conducted at SVSMC, Mahabubnagar in December 2018, participated as Faculty in the 67th Annual National Conference of ISA 2019 held at Gayatri Vihar Palace Grounds, Bengaluru in November 2019. He was invited to speak on VASOPRESSORS IN OBSTETRIC ANAESTHESIA, A CURRENT PERSPECTIVE DURING ISA WEBCON TELANGANA 2021 held in January 2021.

Presently, he is the President of Indian Society of Anesthesiologists, Mahabubnagar City Branch and General Council Member of IMA, Palamoor Branch, Telangana State. He preferred to steer as Medical Superintendent for Narayana Medical College Hospital from December 6th 2021.

Lecture Theatres

There are state of the art lecture galleries which are centrally air condition sound proof, equipped with modern audio visual aid and the latest fire safety norms are located in medical college as well as in hospital. 6 lecture theatres of 300 seating capacity and 1 with 650 seating capacity are located in medical college and 1 lecture theatre of 300 seating capacity is available in hospital building.

Lab

There are 6 common laboratories and 2 small laboratories located in the medical college. Which are equipped with modular working tables with LED lamps, water facility, drawer and fitted with power plug points for various electrical equipment’s such as microscopes etc.

Demonstration Rooms

Each department is equipped with 4 demonstration rooms which can accommodate around 90 students and these demonstration rooms are centrally air conditions fitted with LCD Projector and modern audio-visual aid.
